Scheduling
How to Schedule an Exam
Patients are seen by appointment with a referral/prescription from a doctor. Some exams require a precertification from an HMO or insurance carrier, and certain screening exams are not covered by insurance.
It is important that patients verify, and are familiar with, the applicable rules and coverage of their insurance carriers or HMO before their exam.
We try to accommodate same day appointments where possible.

If You Have A Scheduled Exam
Please arrive twenty minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in, for insurance verification, and for completion of any medical inquiry forms that relate to your specific exam. Our staff is here to help make your visit to Norwalk Radiology and Mammography Center as comfortable and convenient as possible. At any time, please feel free to ask any questions or to seek assistance.
Please make sure that you have a referral/prescription from your doctor, and in some instances, a precertification from your HMO or insurance carrier.
Our scheduling is coordinated with patient convenience as a priority and we strive to adhere to the appointment schedule. As with any health care facility, there are unforeseen circumstances and emergencies that may cause delays. These may involve performing additional studies on a routine case or a patient who presents with an urgent condition. We will communicate any delays to you if they occur and we greatly appreciate your understanding. We want to make sure that all of our patients receive the best possible care in accordance with their individual medical needs.
Please be aware that exams are scheduled by the type of imaging equipment that is used. If it seems that you are waiting longer than another patient, it is likely that your exam is in a different area.
