James Bauman, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1984. Dr. Bauman received his degree in medicine from Cornell University Medical College. After completing his internship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, he trained as a radiology resident at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He served as Chief Resident in 1984. Dr Bauman completed a postgraduate program in body imaging at NYU Medical Center in 1985. He has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital since 1985.
Steven
Bernstein, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1994, Dr. Bernstein received
his degree in medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine
in 1989. Following completion of his internship at Beth Israel
Medical Center in New York City, he trained as a radiology resident
at North Shore University Medical Center in Manhasset, NY. Dr.
Bernstein completed a post graduate fellowship in vascular and
interventional radiology at New York University Medical Center.
From 1996-2006 Dr. Bernstein served as the Director of Interventional
Radiology at Northern Westchester Hospital where he developed
programs in interventional oncology including radiofrequency ablation
and chemoembolization.
Dr. Bernstein specializes in the assessment and
treatment of renovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease
and uterine fibroids. He has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital
since summer 2006.
Lauren Ernberg, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 2002, Dr. Ernberg received
her degree in medicine from Cornell University Medical College in
1997. After completing an Internship in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania
Hospital in 1998, she then completed her Residency in Diagnostic
Radiology at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center in June 2002.
Dr. Ernberg subsequently completed a one year Fellowship in Musculoskeletal
Radiology at Hospital for Special Surgery, New York. Dr. Ernberg
has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital since 2003.
Heather
Frimmer, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 2005, Dr. Frimmer received
her degree in medicine from Cornell Medical College in 2000. After
completing an internship in internal medicine in 2001, she then
completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at New York Presbyterian
Hospital-Cornell in 2005. She served as Chief Resident in 2004.
Dr. Frimmer subsequently completed a one year Fellowship in Abdominal
and Breast Imaging at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Frimmer has been
on staff at Norwalk Hospital since 2006.
David Gruen, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1997. Dr Gruen received his
degree in medicine from Cornell University Medical College. After
completing his internship at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical
Center in internal medicine, he spent a year as a pathology resident
at New York Hospital. Dr. Gruen trained as a radiology resident
at New York Hospital from 1993 to 1997. He then went on to complete
a postgraduate training program in adult and pediatric body imaging
at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Gruen has been on
staff at Norwalk Hospital since 1998.
David Klein, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 2000. Dr. Klein received his
degree in medicine from New York University School of Medicine in
1995. Dr. Klein completed a one year Internal Medicine Internship
in 1996 and a four-year diagnostic radiology residency from 1996
to 2000 at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital
Center. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Vascular and
Interventional Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
in Philadelphia. Dr. Klein has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital
since 2001.
Ron Lee, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1991. Dr Lee received his
degree in medicine from the NYU School of Medicine in 1986. Dr.
Lee did an internship in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein
College of Medicine. His training in diagnostic radiology was at
New York University Medical Center/Bellvue Hospital Center from
1987 to 1991. Dr. Lee did a focused fellowship in Body Cross Sectional
Imaging at NYU Medical Center in 1991. Following this, Dr. Lee completed
a postgraduate training fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Lee
has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital since 1992 as the Chief of
Cross Sectional Body Imaging.
Alan Levine, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1977. Dr. Levine received
his degree in medicine from the State University of New York, Downstate
Medical Center in 1973. An internship in medicine was followed by
a residency in radiology at Kings County Hospital-SUNY Medical Center
from 1973 to 1977. Dr. Levine then completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology
at Kings County Hospital-SUNY Medical Center in 1978. He has served
as Chief Resident at Kings County and as a clinical instructor at
Yale University School of Medicine from 1982 to 1986. He has been
on staff at Norwalk Hospital since 1978 and has been Chief of Neuroradiology
at Norwalk Hospital since 1983.
Pradip Pathare, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1980 and in Therapeutic Radiology
in 1981. Dr. Pathare received his degree in medicine from Grant
Medical College-Bombay University in 1975. A residency in radiology
at Misericordia Hospital was followed by a Chief Residency in 1979.
Dr. Pathare then trained in Therapeutic Radiology at Yale New Haven
Hospital from 1979 to 1981 with a Chief Residency in Therapeutic
Radiology in 1981. Dr. Pathare has been Chief of Radiation Medicine
at Norwalk Hospital since 1982.
Alan Richman, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1976. Dr. Richman received
his degree in medicine from New York Medical College-Flower Fifth
Avenue Hospital in 1972. He then served as a resident in radiology
from 1972 to 1976 at New York Medical College. Dr. Richman has held
appointment as associate professor in Radiology at Yale New Haven
Hospital and has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital since 1977. Dr.
Richman has been Chairman of the Department of Radiology since 1980.
Seema C. Sanghavi, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 2001, Dr. Sanghavi received
her degree in medicine from Northwestern University Medical School
in 1995. After a one year research fellowship in human oncology
at the University of Wisconsin, she completed her Internship at
the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1997. She then completed her
Radiation Oncology Residency at University of Wisconsin Hospitals
and Clinics in 2001, where she served as Chief Resident from 2000
2001. Dr. Sanghavi has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital
since 2003.
Edward Strauss, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1983 and in Nuclear Medicine
in 1984. Dr. Strauss received his degree in medicine from Yale University
School of Medicine 1979. An internship was followed by a residency
in radiology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center from 1979 to 1983.
Dr. Strauss completed a postgraduate program in Nuclear Medicine
at the same institution in 1984. From 1984 to 1985, Dr. Strauss
was an instructor in Angiography and Interventional Radiology at
Yale-New Haven Medical Center. He was Chief of Nuclear Medicine
at the Veterans Administration Hospital from 1985 to 1986, as well
as being an assistant professor at Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Strauss has been Chief of Nuclear Medicine at Norwalk Hospital
since 1986 and has been program director of the residency program
since 1992.
Evan Wasserman, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 2000. Dr. Wasserman graduated
from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with honors, and was inducted
into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society, Class
of 1996. Dr. Wasserman did his residency in diagnostic radiology,
with a fourth year fellowship in MRI, at Massachusetts General Hospital
from 1996 to 2000. Following this, he completed a postgraduate fellowship
in Breast and Body Imaging at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
in 2001. Dr. Wasserman has been on staff at Norwalk Hospital since
2001.
Jesse Wexler, M.D.
Certified
by the American Board of Radiology in 1977. Dr. Wexler received
his degree in medicine from the Downstate Medical Center-State University
of New York in 1969. An internship at Presbyterian Hospital was
followed by a year in psychiatry in San Francisco. Dr. Wexler then
worked in general practice and public health from 1971 to 1974 in
San Francisco, Marin County and Suffolk County in New York. From
1974 to 1977 Dr. Wexler did a residency in Radiology at New York
Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He completed a postgraduate fellowship
in Ultrasound and CT at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center
in 1978. Dr. Wexler has held appointments in Radiology at New York
Hospital, Park City Hospital, and Yale New Haven Medical Center.
Dr. Wexler has been on the staff at Norwalk Hospital since 1994.
