Patients are seen by appointment with a referral/prescription from a doctor. Some exams require a precertification from an HMO or insurance carrier, and certain screening exams are not covered by insurance.
It is important that patients verify, and are familiar with, the applicable rules and coverage of their insurance carriers or HMO before their exam.
We try to accommodate same day appointments whenever possible, however many insurance carries/HMO require at least 48 hours to process precertification requirements for MRI, CT, and some breast biopsy procedures. Please verify completion of your exam precertification with your insurance/HMO before you schedule your appointment to avoid postponing or cancellation.
